The tapir is the largest mammal of the southern hemisphere and appears as an essential animal to many Indigenous groups. In the Tembé nation, the white stain we call Milky Way is called The Tapir's Path because of this constellation. Isn't it curious that the ancient astronomers from both Greek and Brazil associated the shape with a path?
